Life College’s TILE (Transition to Independent Living and Employment) program is a collaboration with Irvine Valley College, community leaders, and local businesses. We help young adults with intellectual disabilities including, but not limited to, Autism, Fragile X, Brain Injury, and other Developmentally Delayed Learners. The goal is to transition our students from dependent living through a college experience to prepare them for gainful employment and independent living. This 2-year adult transition college program focuses on self-development, living skills, and employment training.
Reluctant Embrace is an intentional community of young male adults with autism who live together and share a common goal to pursue either vocational education/training or a collegiate degree. Our community is an environment that supports residents towards independent living through thoughtful design and the guidance of an on-site mentor. Our home is located in a quiet residential neighborhood near colleges (e.g., Fullerton College, Cal State Fullerton, Chapman University), vocational learning facilities, public transportation hubs and an abundance of parks. Come by and take a tour!
